Goal:

To teach computational ontologies and Ontology Design Patterns for the semantic web.

Brief description

A two-day PhD course teaching computational ontologies and Ontology Design Patterns for the semantic web. Assumes basic knowledge of information modeling, ontologies and RDF/OWL.

  • Day 1

        • Is the semantic web out there already?
    • 10:30-10:45 Coffee break
    • 10:45-11:45 OWL and the NeOn Toolkit (Interactive lecture/exercise) - Aldo Gangemi

    • 11:45-12:15 Introduction to Ontology Design Patterns (Lecture) - Aldo Gangemi
