Main motivation for joining ODP community: (1) to share our experience in building ontologies wrt. patterns with the community (2) to improve ontology building/maintaining with help of patterns (3) to solve common modeling problems using and introducing new patterns (4) integrating ontology patterns (in a very broad term) within the process of ontology authoring/engineering by (semi-autom) tool support
