How to propose an exemplary ontology (in a nutshell)
- Go to the Exemplary Ontology Catalogue page to make sure the ontology is not already there.
- Click the Submit a new Exemplary Ontology button.
- Fill out a form describing various aspects of the exemplary ontology.
The steps for submitting an Exemplary Ontology are described below. Submissions should normally be made by champions of the ontology rather than by the developers. This avoids perceived conflict of interest / self-promotion.

View the Exemplary Ontology Catalogue. Is the ontology you want to add already there?
- Yes? Click to open the ontology and check the information for accuracy and completeness. Make changes and additions as appropriate. You are finished.
- No? From the catalogue page, click the Submit a new Exemplary Ontology button and continue to step 2.
