Info tip.gif What is the procedure for posting a Content Ontology Design Pattern proposal?


Step 1: Is the domain of your Content OP already in this list of domains?

Step 2: Do you have a picture depicting a diagrammatic view of your Content OP?

  • Yes: upload it and remember the name of the picture file
  • No: it is recommended to have include it in the Content OP page. For Content OP certification it is required

Step 3: Do you have the owl file of your pattern?

  • Yes
    • Download the [CP annotation schema]
    • Import the [CP annotation schema] in the owl file of the Content OP
    • Annotate the Content OP by using rdfs:label, rdfs:comment, and the CP annotation schema annotation properties in order to comment the Content OP (intent, consequences, scenarios, etc.)
    • Put the Content OP owl file on a server, assign a [cool URI] to it. You will indicate such URI to the automatic import service, and will also be the value you will put in the "OWL building block" field/property
    • Go to import CP
      • Type the name for the page of your proposed Content OP
      • Indicate the URI of the owl file encoding the Content OP
      • Click on "load"
    • Go to Step 4
  • No
    • Type the name for the page of your proposed Content OP in the form below and click on "create"
      • Note: if a page with that name already exists, you will be directed to editing that page

  • Fill the form
  • Save the Content OP proposal page
  • Encode your Content OP in an owl file and include the [CP annotation schema]

Step 4: Editing the Content OP proposal page

  • Edit the Content OP page you just created
  • Indicate the domain of your Content OP in the appropriate field
  • Indicate the name of the diagram picture (including its extension) in the appropriate field
  • Indicate all possible relations with other Content OP by linking to their pages from the appropriate fields
  • Indicate the URI of the owl file encoding the Content OP in the appropriate field
  • Save the Content OP proposal page

Step 5: Review

  • Ask for a review of your Content OP by clicking on "ask for a review" on top of the proposal page
